Nicholas Boston

Nicholas Boston Associate Professor of Media Sociology at Lehman College of the City University of New York (CUNY). His academic research to date is located at the nexus of cultural production, media, migration, identity, and intimacy. He also writes frequently on these topics for the popular media. He holds a MS in journalism from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University, and a PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge, where he is a Life Member of King’s College.

Given the political challenges of the present, the necessity for a deeper understanding of radical solidarity appears more pressing than ever. Yet while solidarity has been pivotal to social change since at least the Haitian Revolution, how it is articulated has never been less than problematic.
