On October 10, 2012, Vijay Prashad gave a dynamic and wonderfully engaging talk at the CUNY Graduate Center, where he engaged topics ranging from his involvement with South Asian youth in New York, to his first teaching gig, to reflections ten years later on his book The Karma of Brown Folk, to his new book Uncle Swami: South Asians in America Today.
