Please join Cassia Bechara from the Landless Workers' Movement in Brazil (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terraor, or MST) for a conversation about struggle, strategy, solidarity, and internationalism.

Cassia Figueirdo Bechara has been a militant of the Landless Rural Workers’ Movement – MST since 2001. Graduated with a degree in Social Communication, she initially worked as a member of the communication and mass mobilization sectors of the MST in the state of Pernambuco. Cassia has coordinated MST camps, and is now the National Director of the movement’s Internationalism Sector.

This event is organized and cosponsored by the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics and Reclaim the Commons at the CUNY Graduate Center. It is free and open to the public.
